Mass spectrometry (MS) imaging visualizes the spatial distribution of analytes directly on a surface by their mass-to-charge (m/z) ratios. By reducing sample preparation time and increasing usability and sensitivity, the widespread utility of the technique can be increased.
DESI XS is designed to deliver robust, reliable, and simple MS imaging with innovation in mind. The source is deployable across the Waters high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) portfolio, providing a flexible solution and ensuring a consistent, high-level of performance to all imaging customers. DESI XS is a foundation upon which the next generation of developments in Waters DESI MS imaging will be built, future-proofing MS imaging needs.
